Dear Visitor,
With the blessings of almighty, I assumed the post of President of CPWD Officers Wives Association on **1st March, 2013**. This role gives me greater social responsibility, though I have past experience working in the Association in various capacities. I'm confident I will discharge my duties successfully with sincere cooperation from all esteemed members.
With a humble beginning in **1971** by Mrs. R. Muthachen, this Association has grown by leaps and bounds into the strong cohesive unit it is today. Our Association is a socio-cultural organization that provides **monetary help** to needy CPWD families, **awards scholarships**, gives **donations** to various institutions (blind schools, orphanages), and contributes to the Prime Minister Relief Fund.
We run **seven crèches** for the children of labourers at CPWD construction sites, providing them non-formal education, medical care, and nutrition. We also run embroidery classes, pre-nursery, nursery classes, play classes, and a crèche for the children of working couples.
I plan to increase welfare activities, potentially adding **computer and tuition classes** for needy children. I am committed to **raising revenue** by organizing various activities to ensure more welfare initiatives are undertaken.
I thank the members who have dedicated their time and energy to building the Association. I look forward to all Officers’ Wives becoming members and taking the Association to new heights. Also, I express my heartiest gratitude to CPWD Officers for their time and support.
Wishing a very happy and colourful ‘HOLI’ to you and your family.

Respected patrons and members of the CPWD Officers' Wives Association family, it is a great privilege and an honour for me to be in this position today.
I realize the extremely important and wide variety of work being undertaken in the areas of **welfare, women empowerment, donations to the needy, and education of children**, especially children of construction site labourers. The cultural activities help promote a feeling of oneness amongst all.
Given the Constitutional Right to Education, it is vital that these children are educated and linked to schools for formal education. The nutritious food provided in the **Bal Baseras** will significantly improve the children's nutrition levels. The **Vocational Training Centre** provides much-needed skills to young girls and women, helping them become economically independent.
We now need to take this forward by deepening, strengthening, and spreading our work through **engagement, collaboration, and partnerships**.
I assure you that I will take forward the good work of my predecessors and devote my energies to achieving greater heights, leveraging my professional experience and the guidance of the entire fraternity.

Dear Visitors, Welcome to the site of CPWD officers wives association.
It is with absolute humility and gratitude that I assume the appointment of the President of this prestigious association. Over the years, the Association's activities have become an integral part of our life. Founded by Mrs. R. Muthachen in 1971, it has grown in strength and structure and can take legitimate pride in its multifarious welfare activities.
Early Childhood Care and Education is the need of the day. Since children of laborers at construction sites cannot afford costly schools, we must provide them quality education at an affordable fee. To achieve this noble work, our association is running the following programs:
- Bal Baseras
- Vocational institutions
- Scholarships for the needy children of employees
Changing times demand a change in attitude to be better prepared in looking after the interest of our employees’ families. For this, our association is running the following programs:
- Diffusion of knowledge in the field of science, culture, and art for members.
- Relief and welfare of needy personals of CPWD.
This organization is supported by **voluntary donations**, which are **exempt under the Income Tax Act**. I wish to express my gratitude to all my predecessors whose vision has given the Association a prominent place. I resolve to continue all meaningful projects for the larger good.
I invite wives of all the CPWD officers to become members of this organization.

Dear Visitors, Welcome to the website of CPWD officers wives association.
With the blessings of Almighty, I assumed the post of the President on **1st Feb. 2009**. I would like to tread the path shown by my seniors, with the help of all members of the CPWD family. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all my predecessors whose vision has given this association a prominent place in society.
The ongoing activities would continue with enhanced vigour. Our association provides **monetary help** to needy families, **awards scholarships** to their wards, runs schemes to benefit the **girl child**, and gives donations to humanitarian causes.
**Bal Basera** is the name given to the **seven crèches** we run in Delhi for the children of labourers at construction sites. We provide them with non-formal education, medical care, and nutrition.
Of late, the association has collected and given usable **old clothes for distribution** to the needy through an NGO called **Goonj**, who process these cloths for use by the victims of natural calamities. I call upon all members to continue sending such clothes to the association office.
I quote: **"Team work is the only fuel that allows common people to achieve uncommon results."** I make an earnest appeal to all members and their spouses in the official positions in the Department to motivate all ranks under them to join this association for a noble cause.

Dear Visitors, Welcome to the website of CPWD officers wives association.
I applaud the vision of **Mrs. R. Muthachan who founded the Association in 1971**. It gives us great pleasure to see a seed that was planted nearly 37 years ago, blossoming into a full-grown tree today.
CPWD Officers Wife Association is a group of dedicated individuals devoted to the welfare of under-privileged workers and their family members. The Association runs **crèches** at construction sites, providing **free nourishment, education, and medical care** to the children. Additionally, it provides **monetary help** to families of CPWD employees in the event of untimely death or prolonged illness. We also make contributions to the society at large during natural calamities through donations to Blood Bank, Red Cross, PM’s relief fund, etc.
I look forward to all Officers’ Wives becoming members of the Association and taking it to new heights. I also express my heartiest gratitude to CPWD Officers for their time and support in all our endeavors.
Wishing a very Happy Diwali to you & your family.
