About
To carry forward the motive of India “Justice for all”, CPWD-OWA has added a new chapter to its welfare wing with a single objective: to provide legal assistance, help, and advice to people, otherwise unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system.
"Legal Service Clinic” acts on a pro bono basis and the main thrust is on providing the basic legal services like legal advice, assistance in drafting of notices, replies, applications, petitions etc. The lawyers operating the legal aid clinic also attempt to resolve the disputes of the people in the locality, preventing the disputes from maturing into litigation.
The initiative as a welfare provision was taken in 2016 under the guidance and chair of Mrs Lata Garg, the then president of CPWD-OWA, and Rashmi Bansal, secretary Welfare, has volunteered for the concept and establishment of this Legal Help Clinic.
Legal Help Clinic is governed by a separate unit under the president-ship of Mrs Priti Sinha , President CPWD-OWA, Vice- President – Rashmi Bansal.
