School & Day Care Centre

Nursery and Play School (Ages 3-5 years)

The Association runs a **'NURSERY AND PLAY SCHOOL'** for children aged **3-5 years**. The fee structure is kept very **nominal** so that children from lower economic backgrounds can easily access **quality education**.

The school environment is conducive for the **all-round development** of children, and the quality of education and experience imparted here is at par with any other good school. Children passing out of this school are able to seek admission in any school of their choice. Every year, there is an increase in the student strength, showing the continued success of the school.

Day Care Center (Ages 6 Months to 12 Years)

The **'DAY CARE CENTRE'** caters to the children of **working parents**. Children between the ages of **6 months to 12 years** can be enrolled here at a very nominal fee.

We provide a **safe, congenial, and hygienic environment** for children while their parents are away at work. We follow each child’s individual routine for eating, resting, playing, or studying, as per the instructions of their parents. The centre is supervised by a manager, a supervisor, and a few ayahs. This centre is now very popular and enrolls children from varied backgrounds.

To inculcate the feeling of **nationalism** in children, on Independence day, the National Flag was hoisted by the President OWA at all the Creches and Hriday Kunj. Children sang patriotic songs and gave dance performances. They were given sweets and refreshments.

The **Annual Day & Christmas** was celebrated for the School & Day Care children at Hriday Kunj today. The children performed and enjoyed thoroughly. All the children were given gifts & goodie bags. The members of the Executive body encouraged and appreciated them.

The festival of **JANMASHTAMI** was celebrated with great enthusiasm by our tiny tots at Hriday Kunj.
The children came dressed as Lord Krishana and Radha. They also did some art activities related to the festival.

The festival of **Janamashtami** was celebrated with great passion and zeal by our tiny tots in Hriday Kunj .
The children dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha complete with flutes and peacock feathers. They were also made to do art & craft activities related to the festival.
The celebration was a great success as a result of the efforts put in by the teachers, Vice- President ( School & Daycare) and not to forget the parents who dressed up the children.

A **craft activity** was held for the school children at Hriday Kunj . The aim was to teach the children about shapes and colours. They all participated with full enthusiasm.

To mark the occasion of **Republic Day**, the National Flag was hoisted by the President, OWA Delhi at Hriday Kunj. The School & Day Care children participated enthusiastically in the drill.They were shown patriotic cartoon films to inculcate the feeling of nationalism.The children were also given goodie bags.

15th November,2018

To mark the **Childrens' Day** a small sports event was organized for the children of the Play School .The little ones participated very enthusiastically.
All the children were given refreshment packets.

15th October,2018

CPWD-OWA organized an **Art and Craft Activity** for the children of Play School & Day Care. They were made to do vegetable printing & paper pasting.The children participated with full fervour.

Independence Day Celebration, 13th August, 2018

C.P.W.D. Officers' Wives Association celebrated Independence Day in its School & Day care centre at Hriday Kunj. President Smt. Deepa Singh hoisted the National Flag along with Vice Presidents and executive members. Sweets, fruits and gifts were distributed among the children.
